Rungtime · Help and contact
1. Contact
Write to us at support@darkstone.app. The easiest way is in the app: Me → Help & contact → Report a problem. Rungtime then opens your mail app with your description; you send it yourself. You attach technical details and the last error only if you pick them one by one – you see beforehand what is included. Without a mail app you can save the report as a text file or copy the address.
We usually reply within two working days. This is a target, not a guarantee; there is no 24-hour support. Problems with data loss, start-up, training and purchases come first.
Please do not send us passwords, the key of your backup file or payment details.

Reporting content: report a template link, group or display name you consider unlawful to support@darkstone.app with the subject “Notice”, as described in section 11 of the terms.
2. Common questions
Adjust your plan. Under Plan → Days & time you choose your training days and the length of each session; the change applies from next Monday and is shown to you in full first. Under Plan → Programmes you switch programme; your previous path stays with all recorded results. In the calendar you move an open session within its week or skip it.
Replace an exercise. You choose a replacement right at the exercise: in the session preview via “···” or during training via ⇄. Each choice names its reason. If something hurts, choose “Skip set” during training and then “Discomfort · stop the affected exercise”; missing values stay unknown.
Restore or cancel a purchase. Under Me → Rungtime Pro, “Restore purchases” brings your purchases back – with the same store account you bought with. You cancel a subscription with the App Store or Google Play; “Manage subscription” opens that page. Lifetime is not a subscription and needs no cancelling. After a subscription ends, your training data stays readable.
Back up and restore a file. Under Me → Data & backup you export an encrypted file. Keep the separate key apart: without it the file cannot be opened, not even by us. Before replacing anything the app shows a preview. The iOS or Android device backup does not contain your training data – use the backup file when you change devices.
Connect an Apple Watch. You install Rungtime on your Apple Watch in your iPhone’s Watch app. With Rungtime Pro you start today’s session there – even without your iPhone nearby – or take over the running one; “Bring here” takes it back to the iPhone. The watch measures your heart rate only with your Health permission.
Connect a Wear OS watch. Install Rungtime on your paired Wear OS watch and deliberately switch on the connection on the phone under Settings → Watch. With Rungtime Pro you can start a transferred session offline or take over a running workout. Heart rate needs its own permission on the watch. The connection uses Google Play services, over Bluetooth or encrypted through Google servers.
Apple Health and Health Connect. Under Settings → Health you switch on “Export trainings” and, separately, reading other strength workouts and your resting heart rate. Apple Health does not tell Rungtime whether you allowed reading; “no data” can therefore also mean missing permission.
Bar Radar and location. Bar Radar shows training spots offline from included OpenStreetMap packs for Berlin and Vienna; one pack is free, more are part of Rungtime Pro. Your location is used only while the map is open and is neither stored nor sent. Check the condition and access of a place on site.
Privacy. Without an account your training data stays on your devices. With an account, Rungtime backs up only the categories you allow, on servers in Germany. Purchases go through the store and RevenueCat, Health only with your permission, crash reports only if you switch them on. All external services are listed under Settings → Privacy & diagnostics; details in the privacy policy.
Offline. Training, plan, history and backup file work offline. A confirmed subscription applies offline until the known end of the paid period, a confirmed Lifetime purchase without expiry.
3. What helps us with a report
- What did you do, what happened, what did you expect?
- Device and system version and the app version (Me → Help & contact → Version) – or attach the “Technical report”.
- For purchases: plan and store (App Store or Google Play), no receipts with payment details.
4. Known issues
We know about these issues and will fix them in one of the next updates. As far as we know, no saved training data is lost because of them.
- Training: if you turn the device so that the player switches between one and two columns, the view starts at the top again.
- Today: “Next skill” can show outdated evidence, such as more logged than required reps (“4 of 3”).
- Analytics: two blocks can have the same name. Your own block choice in the comparison jumps back to the default after switching to the weeks. The set total in the weekly report does not say explicitly whether Grease the Groove and imports are included.
- Spanish and French: some hints and older exercise names appear in English or German; for your own exercises the note about their source language is partly missing. Android widgets show date and time in the device language.
- Mobility programmes: the preview does not show all set and time targets and, without a main plan, not the equipment needed. If your main plan is not up to date, “Plan as a second goal” leads to a locked preview without a hint – “Update plan” under Plan → Programmes helps. In the last week of a pause, “Resume” is offered although it only becomes possible afterwards.
- Grease the Groove: if you confirm a dose in the widget, a notification or on the watch, the app does not offer to take it back right away; you can take it back in History.
- Health: if loading the read settings fails, the message talks about saving. Two workouts from other apps with the same times both show only the health store as their source.
- Bar Radar: after the first location permission you may have to fetch your position again. Access information appears as the raw OpenStreetMap value (“yes”, “permissive”).
- Account: if a sign-in in the browser does not return to the app, sync and a new sign-in wait until you restart the app.
- Groups: after copying a renewed code fails, “Try again” renews the code instead of copying it. With too many code attempts, the preview does not show the waiting time. The time shown for a group can be that of the list instead of the group. Blocking a friend does not list the affected groups one by one.
- Web view: Escape does not reliably close the edit dialog – use “Cancel”. Completely offline, the browser can show a loading error. After signing in, hints about a waiting update and about a failed sign-in are missing. A draft conflict does not show every detail of both versions. Changing the window width can reset search and filters in the library.
- Texts and display: the singular is missing in some places (“1 members”, “1 sessions”); large numbers are not formatted the same everywhere; group week axis labels and a long title in the group sharing step do not fit cleanly with very large text; the English Pro benefits use capital letters in the middle of sentences.
5. Deleting data
5.1 On this device
Me → Data & backup → Delete and disconnect → “Delete training data on this device”. This removes the app’s training data on this device. What stays: files you exported yourself, trainings sent to Apple Health or Health Connect (delete them there) and your purchase rights. You cancel a subscription separately in the store. Uninstalling the app also removes the app data on the device. On iOS your account’s sign-in may remain in the keychain; if you reinstall Rungtime, the app revokes and deletes it before any use.
5.2 Crash reports
Switch off Settings → Privacy & diagnostics → “Send crash reports”. Waiting reports are deleted at once; Sentry deletes reports already sent after 30 days. “Waiting reports → Delete” removes waiting reports without changing the switch.
5.3 Rungtime account and cloud
To delete your Rungtime account in the Rungtime app by Darkstone: Me → Data & backup → Delete and disconnect → “Delete account” and confirm.
No longer able to use the app? Write from your account’s email address to support@darkstone.app with the subject “Delete account”. We reply to that address and ask you to confirm the deletion by reply; requests from another address can only be handled with other suitable proof. After your confirmation we delete the account with the same effect as in the app, within one month at the latest.
What is deleted: all cloud data, your permissions and consents, registered devices, friendships and shared values, groups you created, your template links and your account’s purchase identifier. Your sign-in identity is deleted shortly afterwards.
What stays for a while: sign-in events (email, IP address) up to 30 days; server logs without content up to 30 days; deleted data in our encrypted backups for about 8 days at most; a content-free deletion journal for 60 days. Only a check value of your sign-in identifier stays permanently, so that the deleted account cannot be linked again.
What we do not delete: your purchase record at RevenueCat and in the store (purchases belong to your store account), data on your devices (delete it as in 5.1), copies on offline devices, content that others already read or adopted through your template links.
Unused accounts: we delete an account that has not been used for 24 months, with the same effect, after notice by email at least 30 days before; accounts linked to a running subscription are excluded (privacy policy, section 12.9).
Other ways without deleting the account: “Disconnect from account” (the cloud data stays), “Permanently delete all training data” (cloud data gone, account stays) and, under Settings → Cloud data, withdrawing single categories (their copy in the cloud is deleted).
